PUSH FORWARD

TO THE FUTURE

PUSH FORWARD • TO THE FUTURE •

Who We Are

We’re a group of local skateboarders here in the Black Hills of South Dakota who have a passion for the sport, and together, want to support and grow Rapid City’s skateboarding community.

To provide Rapid City a 20,000 sqft., world-class skatepark that’s safe and fosters unity, creativity, and resilience among our youth and community.

By building this skatepark, we can elevate our recreational landscape and offer a safe and inclusive space for skaters and action sports enthusiasts of all ages to thrive. This project has gained unprecedented support and attention from local government, marking significant milestones that have never been achieved in past efforts.

Join us as we push forward together, creating a haven for skateboarders, roller bladers, and scooters alike to a brighter future for our community. Your contribution will not only build a skatepark but also strengthen the very fabric of Rapid City.

ALL HANDS ON DECK

Ride the City 2024

On October 20th, 2024, skaters, bikers, families from all around the Black Hills joined in a community fundraiser ride from Rapid City’s current skatepark to the new park’s location. This was Push Forward’s first public event to help grow awareness of the project, and it was a (big) small step forward in the right direction.

Our Donors

We want to express our immense gratitude to the city of Rapid City and its Vision Fund Citizen Committee for choosing to invest $2.1M into Push Forward’s mission to build a world-class skatepark for the community. We are humbled, honored, and so very grateful for this funding, and we promise to use this opportunity to come together as a community—to design, build, and support a space that inspires creativity, connection, and confidence for generations to come. This is more than a skatepark—it's a step forward for all of us.
